Lung Disease Caused by Vaping – Uncovering the Truth

Lung Disease Caused by Vaping – Uncovering the Truth

Recently Vaping has received yet more bad publicity

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday the number of vaping-related illnesses jumped to at least 450 cases in 33 states and cautioned people against using e-cigarettes, especially those bought off the street. At least five deaths linked to the vaping-related respiratory illness have been reported.”

Is this true or is the media using scare tactics to obtain more readers?

IVG takes the health and safety of all of its products extremely seriously, we aim to help people stop smoking by providing nicotine-based alternatives for adults, when we read headlines such as “New York governor urges halt to all vaping amid lung disease outbreak”, we became concerned and did everything within our power to ensure that our products are not harming anybody, we re-evaluated our own lab reports for all of our products and at the same time monitored and investigated further into the reports by the media.

What we have found is that irresponsible publishers are producing spun versions of the truth to mislead people into thinking that vaping is the culprit of recent lung disease cases, the way they have done this is by using the term “vaping” which is the delivery system for a lot of different types of products such nicotine-based e-liquids & CBD. What this has done is allowed the press to bend the truth and target the whole vape industry without covering the real story, which is illegal, untested & unregulated THC products that have caused people to become extremely ill. Interestingly, our research team has also found that not a single case of lung disease has been linked to nicotine only e-cigarettes

The poor media coverage of these dangerous illicit THC products and pointing the blame towards the vape industry as a whole is aiding activists that want to prevent the success of vaping. We believe this is not good for public health, as people who may want to use vaping as a substitute to quit smoking may now be deterred and because the THC oil black market scandal has not been highlighted by the media things could get worse for people not knowing the risks of using unregulated THC products.

So perhaps instead of publishing “New York governor urges halt to all vaping amid lung disease outbreak” the headline should be “Black market THC oil hospitalised at least 450 people”.

Notable Quotes:

The F.D.A. issued this statement: “Because consumers cannot be sure whether any THC vaping products may contain vitamin E acetate, consumers are urged to avoid buying vaping products on the street, and to refrain from using THC oil or modifying/adding any substances to products purchased in stores.”

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin: Siblings of a 26-year-old man from Burlington also reported their brother was hospitalized in critical condition this week after vaping THC from a cartridge he bought on the street

To remain safe whilst vaping, we recommend:

  • Purchase products from a reputable website or store
  • Buy trusted branded e-liquids or CBD products
  • Use well-known e-cigarette devices
  • Consult with your doctor before you use vaping products or if you notice any side effects from vaping
